DESIGN
ZSTYX speaker cables are hard to hear making them ideal for very transparent sounding tube amplifiers. They are recommended when focus, sound-stage and transparency are a priority and you don't want to give up bass slam to get it.
I found this wire at a ham fest in the 1990's when I was a sincere but broke audiophile... it was military grade silver-Teflon microwave transmission tower cable. Something just told me it would be better than anything I could afford so I purchased it.
I had no idea how good it actually was until we started comparing it to 4 figure $$ big-name cables... it was a real education because of the huge gap in transparency we heard on virtually every comparison.
This continued for years and when Decware went online in 1996 there were countless customers who brought their cables in to compare. We learned that the more a speaker cable costs, the more likely it is to do some esoteric filtering which helps offset the dryness and top end grain common in so much solid state gear.
These have been my personal reference cables since 1996 and I continue to use them today. Each set is made to the same mil spec number as my originals.
-Steve Deckert
ZSTYX are actually separate conductors wrapped in black Teflon making several things possible that you can't do with normal cables...
Running them either spaced apart, taped together or twisted together can each have a different audible effect in some systems.
When possible we usually run them spaced apart and while the emission is highest, the magnetic coupling between conductors is lowest.
