The Zen Triode Mono Amplifiers
DESCRIPTION
This is our famous 2 watt Zen Triode stereo amplifier split in half! If you're not familiar with our 2 watt amplifiers you can find one here.

It is important to understand that our 2 watt stereo amplifiers can be bridged into mono for double or sometimes triple the power depending on the speaker load. So a pair of our 2 watt stereo amplifiers bridged is going to be 4 to 6 watts per channel whereas these amps will put out only 2.7 watts per channel.

Why make them?
​
These are made for people that don't need more than 2 watts per channel and are looking for that extra bit of performance that comes with dual power supplies. Additionally there is tube regulation (OA3) in each amplifier that makes an audible improvement in the sound. This feature is not available on the regular 2 watt amplifiers until you get to the anniversary version (SE84UFO25).

There are anniversary mods available for these mono amplifiers as well, but unlike anniversary mods for our other amps which push them closer to the performance of our SE84UFO25, anniversary mods in these amps actually exceed the performance.

Contemporary Walnut is the standard with no additional cost;
Special woods carry a small up charge. Custom cost more.
Contemporary Cherry, Contemporary Maple, Contemporary Oak, Contemporary Black, and Contemporary Custom.

Custom bases can be almost any wood with almost any finish. The amplifier shown at the top of this page is in a contemporary black piano finished base.

Anniversary mods in the case of this amplifier bring the performance to a level equal to our top model SE84UFO25's.
